Landing - 11x14"

Inspiration:

The idea of "falling in love" is nice, but meeting Bastien was less of a "falling," and more of a "landing." It was softer and more grounded than the jostle or tumble or  fireworks of the "typical" love story. This feeling of landing has been a most needed one, and it's found me over and over again through so many hectic or hard seasons. It's the feeling I associate with home and feeling at rest. "Landing" is a small, peaceful reminder that there are almost always soft places to land, and they appear almost exactly when we need them to. 

Details: 

This is a 11x14" mixed media painting of acrylic, oil, oil stick, and pencil on 1.5" gallery wrapped, cotton canvas.  All of the edges have been painted a neutral color, and the piece has two layers of Gamvar varnish, protecting it from UV light, dust, and every day life. For ongoing care, the painting may be cleaned with a damp cloth and gentle soap as needed.

I currently ship standard to the continental US only.  Each painting is shipped out of my studio in Birmingham, AL within 2 weeks of the order date.
