I Promise I’ll Hold My Next Love Between My Ribs

Inspiration:

Falling in love is no easy task. Ask anyone who's done it. It isn't the feelings that are difficult to muster, it's the determination to see it through to the end! When I set out to love again, I made myself a promise, and it was this “this time, when I fall in love.  I won’t hold it in my hands, ready to drop and run. My next love is going to settle between my ribs. It’ll be real, it’ll be terrifying...it'll be worth it!"

It takes time and something much bigger than commitment to allow someone the privilege to take up the most space inside of our chests! I hope this painting encourages you to wait for the love that feels too big or like it will take the most... should it ever go. What's the saying? The reward is only as great as the risk? Yes!  This is the kind of love I waited for, hoped for, prayed for, and ultimately found, and I wish it for you too!

This piece embodies that promise in soft pastels, dreamy blending, and beautiful moments of texture. 

Details: 

This is a 36x36 acrylic abstract on on 1.5" gallery wrapped, cotton canvas.  All of the edges have been painted a neutral color, and the piece has two layers of Gamvar varnish, protecting it from UV light, dust, and every day life. For ongoing care, the painting may be cleaned with a damp cloth and gentle soap as needed.
