Kiss Me Again Under the Ouveillan Sky

Inspiration:

Simply put, after losing love, I felt I might never find it again, and what’s more, I thought if I somehow found it, it’d never feel the same. 

When we lose something as special as a marriage or love , and try to find it again, it can feel like there's "NO WAY" it'll be the same as before. Even if found, we wonder if it will be somewhat less-less dazzling and awe inspiring. It'll be good, of course, but can it strike us the way it did the first time? 

"Kiss Me Again Under The Ouveillan Sky" is an unrestrained glimpse into the wonder of realizing you've found love...again. I hope this painting is a reminder that love often grows out of the hardest of places, and even when following great loss, we can know it in all of its wonder and grace, messiness and nuance as much (if not more) when we find it again. 

Details: 

This is a 30x30 acrylic abstract on on 1.5" gallery wrapped, cotton canvas.  All of the edges have been painted a neutral color, and the piece has two layers of Gamvar varnish, protecting it from UV light, dust, and every day life. For ongoing care, the painting may be cleaned with a damp cloth and gentle soap as needed.
