The Smell of Rain

Inspiration:

In one car trip in particular, it began to shower. There was a sweet, low rumble of thunder and warm air lightening against the fields we drove by. It was magical. One of my favorite smells in the whole word in the smell of rain because it smells like the world has been wiped clean. I love to remember that this gift is always available to me. That at any moment in any day, I can step into grace and be washed away of dust and worry, of my pain and past...I have only to step out, hold up my hands, and receive. 

Details: 

This is a 6x8" acrylic painting on 200 GSM handmade cotton paper with deckled edges. While the piece comes unmated and unframed, it is gorgeous in either a floater frame or matted and framed with deckled edges showing.
